Orthotropic stress/strain limits

Does Helius Composite calculate and can it output the orthotropic stress + strain limits of the laminate? I am trying to use the laminate results of Helius Composite as inputs into ANSYS Composite's material properties. I see that Helius calculates the modulii, but ANSYS Composite asks for ortho stress/strain limits also (tensile, compressive, and shear in 3 directions).

Hi Louis,

You can obtain the laminate strengths by using the First Ply Failure Survey tool under the Laminate menu.

In this tool you can choose your laminate and failure criterion, Helius Composite will calculate the strength of the laminate under all of the in plane loading conditions. You can use these values as they are calculated in your ANSYS material definition. Since Helius Composite doesn't calculate the out of plane strengths (Z, XZ, and YZ) you will need to approximate these.
