Need opinion on computer specs

Hi all,

I am rendering more complicated Alias models with Showcase 2016. Sometime it slows down or takes forever. For instance, I am trying to render an array of 10 boats, it will take forever to position and set them right. It will either crash or I have to turn down the resolution. Ray tracing at times can be almost impossible. This is the computer specs.

Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-1607 v2 @ 3.00GHz 3.00 GHz

8.00 GB RAM DDR3 800/1066/1333/1600 (Not sure which one)

AMD FirePro W5000 (FireGL V) Graphics Adapter (Dedicated video memory: 2048 MB; Shared system memory: 3840 MB)

What can I do to make it better without changing the entire PC and motherboard? Should I upgrade the RAM or the graphic card? I plan to order Kington 64GB (4x16GB, DDR31600MHz). Is this enough or overkill? 

I am trying to make the most out of this one PC I got for work without having to replace the motherboard.
