Turn off email notifications for updated models.

Hello! I would really like to be able to turn off email notifications for every time someone updates a part. Currently every time someone updates a model in Fusion 360, everyone that has access to that group gets an email. My team does not need this feature for any reason at all. How do you turn off the notifications? I've attached a screenshot of the typical email that is received once someone hits the save button in Fusion 360. Thanks!

Dezeray, you should be able to tone-down the emails through profile settings:

Also, you can turn off notifications on specific projects:

Hi mikealmodova,
You'll select your avatar in the top right corner and choose "Settings" and scroll to the bottom to where "Notifications" is shown like the above screen shot.

Hope that helps!

I believe the setting is unique for each hub you are a member of, so you will probably want to switch to the various hubs that you may belong and set the value in each.

@mikealmodova Same here. For the past couple years now, that setting has done nothing for my group. We now set up a rule in our email to automatically mark read and delete the email. Not ideal but its a way to get rid of those annoying emails.

I have the notifications turned off but still get constant notifications. I don't think that button works.

Has the website been updated recently or something?  I only see "profile" when I click on my avatar, which takes me to this screen:

Over on "preferences", there is an option to change your communication preferences...

But these are the only options:

There is nothing useful about turning off email notifications for part updates. Surely there has to be someway to turn off these emails, they're literally the most annoying thing when a teammate of mine is working and I get an email every 10 minutes saying that he updated my part.

Why is this post marked 'solved', without solving the problem..? I  have the same problem: I disabled the email functionality, but I am still receiving emails when a file is updated.

There is still not a solution that actually works.

Thanks for your reply! I am rather new here, but I see that the first posts regarding this problem are from 2018... This means that there is hardly any improvement regarding Fusion Teams?

@Anonymous ....I would agree with that. I put a lot of effort into the old Idea Station and Discussions and had very little feedback. Even joined a Slack Group with Autodesk FT product managers and even talked to them at last in person AU, but came on deaf ears. I check in every few months just hoping I see some changes, but nothing to speak of. It has so much potential. Just a few fixes here and there and it's a extremely valuable application. It wouldn't just be for Fusion360 users either. We are 95% Inventor. I even did a study on a way to turn it into a project manager like Monday, Trello, etc that would be more focused on CAD data vs what non-CAD which is what they are used for. We were close to implementing but due to emails and a couple of other minor requests we held off hoping they would listen...but that's been 3 years ago. Still hoping.

Best,

Indeed, potential this is very good tool! I worked for more then 20 years on SolidWorks and have experience with a lot of PDM-systems. If Fusion teams is working properly, then this is a very good tool for our start-up, a team that is working a lot from home and a company that haves no servers but everything in the cloud. But I can understand that local autodesk resellers do not have enough benefit from implementing this tool compared with Inventor Vault. Maybe that Autodesk is not putting a lot of effort in Fusion (teams) for this reason.  Follow the money.

So please Autodesk, if you read this, make Fusion Teams (or how is it called?) a great tool!

4 1/2 year later....

So I've finally had the opportunity to implement a multi user Fusion team and my email is being blown up daily by these update notifications.

This issue is not solved.

My work around was to create a rule to bin the emails automatically but that's not really a solution is it?

@JezDoesCAD correct. The problem has not been solved. I'm still using the email rule method described above, which is just a work around, not an actual solution.

So I can't choose to turn off the email for each file update without turning off the mention email ? How crappy is that ?
