Projects lost through Team hub migration

Hello, I've just gone through the team hub migration without fully understanding what was being done!

Now on my projects list, half of these are missing (I think because they were originally created by someone else and shared with me?)

ow they're not listed under "all projects" or "shared with me" or "owned by me"

How do I go about recovering these?

Hi @rajat_mehtaL58QJ, I am also missing most of my projects I had prior to the migration to Team Hub.  And, I don't see an option to view single-user storage.

Can you please help me restore those?

Thank you,

Rob

Hi @chill_wes001 ,
As mentioned by my colleague @prichas on email . We will need Steven Hobbs consent for your request .
Thanks,
Rajat

Dear Rajat,

As explained on email multiple times (without reply or acknowledgement) that's not going to work if that email or account is no longer used.

The access to the files clearly isn't an issue as I can already access them through the other team hub.

Either transfer them across or admit that the simplest way is for me to fix your new system rubbish is to manually download each file and reupload it, wasting hours of time for no gain.

I have a similar issue.  I am university staff; one of our students has left the university but shared his Fusion work with me.  I used to be able to see it under "Shared with me" but now it has disappeared.   How can I recover it?

Hi Rajat

Thak you for your private messages.  I understand that you cannot find any account for the student who shared his files with me on 19th July last year.  I tried to respond to your last message but the Private Message system is giving me a big red box saying "You have reached the limit for number of private messages that you can send for now. Please try again later."  This would be message 6 in this conversation (2 from me, 3 from you, 1 new) which doesn't seem excessive.    I'm not sure whether "later" means tomorrow or next month.

No problem ,
I am not able to find a valid Fusion account for the student ID you mentioned to me on DM .
Thanks,
Rajat

Shame the DM system is broken.

I am sure Autodesk must have regular backups in case of hacking and malware attacks.   I guess you can trace the account from the link that notified me of the sharing.

I have an email: "Invitation to join PhD CAD Work project on Fusion" on 2024-07-19 at 15:12.  (I could include the link, if it helps, but I don't think the system will accept it).

This is a disaster.  They were all the experimental facility drawings from a 3-year DPhil project in engineering, a project that we may want to continue with other students in future.  They were shared with me so they should have been safe.  I have checked my emails - I never had any warning that they were likely to be deleted.

This all stems from Autodesk's unwillingness to provide either a long-term offline backup facility or a permanent cloud repository for users' data.  Yes, I know one can export individual assemblies to .f3z files but I have not the time to go through the project looking for any file that could be a separate assembly and exporting them all individually, it's completely ridiculous.    It doesn't encourage one to use Fusion 360.

Please sort it out.

Thank you

The student has recently graduated but still has a valid university email address.  I would imagine he simply did not renew his F360 licence at the end of the year.  This is another bit of hassle that could usefully be done away with.

Hi Rajat

Is there any progress on this?  I still cannot see the files that were shared with me.

Thanks

Roger

I am currently experiencing the same problem. I have lost all my files when fusion told me to setup a new hub. thinking this would not get rid of my old files. I am still using some of them but they have all disappeared. these files are nowhere to be found.
