New Team Hubs - can't insert design into existing design

I have a design that is made up of components from dozens of other designs. In the past, I opened the main assembly, went to the browser, found the design I wanted, right-clicked, and "insert into current Design".

I now get the following message:

Designs inserted from another Hub will not be linked. Components from the selected design will be copied into this design.

In the top right, it says the Team Hub is me.

The design I'm trying to insert was created today.

The main assembly was created years ago and has been updated very many times.

I would guess both designs are in the same Hub but to be honest I know about Hubs and I'm not sure why I need them as I just use Fusion for my hobby.

I have tried the first two of the following:-

I haven't uninstalled Fusion yet.

Is this me doing something wrong?

@ianpmitchell If you are not on 2.0.21508 please move to that version. It should address this issue for you.

There I also another workaround which is the below but moving to the latest version is recommended.

  1. Close fusion
  2. Go to - C:\Users\kumarpra(use your id)\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360
  3. Back up folder Autodesk Fusion 360 and then delete this folder
  4. Go to -  C:\Users\kumarpra(use your id)\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360
  5. Delete folder Autodesk Fusion 360
  6. Relaunch fusion

~Rajkumarllanchelian,

I am already on Fusion 2.0.21508 x86_64.

I carried the deletion of the folder as you suggested but I am still
getting the same error. I can see the folder has been recreated.

Any other ideas?

@ianpmitchell Can you collect logs from this machine?

1. Run this workflow and get the error

2. Go into Fusion help - Support and diagnostics - Fusion service utility

3. In there run the Gather system info

4. Attach the Fusiondiagnosticslogs.zip file

I just checked and I did attach the folder to the email, maybe it didn't come through as I did it via email.

Anyway, try again.

@ianpmitchell My Apologies for the delay. I just checked with our engineering team and as long as they are in the same project, the reference should be available. Can you give a quick check on:

1. The parent design (that you are inserting into) - What is the hub name and the project name
2. The child design (the reference design that you are inserting) - what is the hub name and the project name?

@ianpmitchell Working with you in an email, clearing the cache looks like it has solved the issue for you. Please confirm so that we can close out this thread.

Hello, I do have the same issue, I have tried:

1)clearing the credentials per the suggested procedure

2)reinstalling fusion

3)clearing the cache files

Didn't help. Im on team Hub, owned just by me. The assembly was created prior to migration. The component I want to insert was created after the migration. Only what helps is when I save the assembly as a new one. But this is not practical as there are other assemblies which use this one assembly and I will loose refference, so this is not an option.

Need quick help, as I use Fusion for business and Im now stucked. To be hones't if I knew such issues before, I would never migrate to hub as I do not see any benefits (speed, stability, security).

Thank you,

Radek
