Hi and thanks for your reply.
No, it is still not clear.
The question is this:
I am in inventor and I want to use my model in Fusion 360.
I try to export it, but Inventor only allows .stp or .ipt formats. I do not want to use .stp because the components will lose the joints between each other. So I use .ipt. There is no way to use any other export extension.
I am now in Fusion 360. I upload the .ipt. But not I can not even open the .ipt. When I try to do it, the software goes to the website account.
I am now trying something different: I have an account that works both in Inventor and Fusion 360 and that allows to open inventor files in Fusion 360. When I do so, it is impossible to save the file in fusion format. It remains in .ipt. It seems that the option to 'leave' inventor has been disabled on purpose. The result is that I can not leave the .ipt format and use a more friendly one like fusion.
