Hi All,

I am an administrator my Fusion Team Hub and I have 1 more Team Member (not Project Member).

I would like to remove this member to free a slot to another. (I have a subscription for 1 member only)

I am able to Inactivate this member but I cannot remove. How it possible?

What is the difference Team Member and Project Member?

Thanks any help in advanced.

Hello József,

Thanks for posting your question to the forum. Note that at this time it is not possible to delete someone from your HUB. We do this because they are tied to any files they upload as well as comments, markups, or other feedback they have added to a Project and or to the HUB.   If you deactivate them, that will remove them from the HUB but all there DATA will still be visable.   To deactivate someone take a look at this Tip in our Tips, Tricks and Tutorials Forum

Note that this tip works for both Fusion Team and BIM 360 Team.

Hope this helps with your question and have a great day.

Hello Bud,

Thank you for the fast reply to my question.

However the deactivation does not solve to free a slot at my Hub. So as I see if I have 10 deactivated member I need 11 user subscription for

1 member to use the Hub... Is it right?

Regards,

Jozsef

HI Jozsef,

I just forwarded your reply to our development team to see if there is an issue. But, my understanding is if you have 11 licenses, and deactivate one, then you should have 10 used. It's also possible that the system needs to catch up with the change you made so that it frees up that license. Last but not least try singing out of the accounts.autodesk.com site and then sign back in and see if it updates.

Thanks and let us know how this goes, and we will let you know what we hear back as well.

HI Jozsef,

I heard back from the team and deactivating the user is what you want to do here. Then go ahead and invite the new person to your HUB. It may not reflect that the license is removed, but we will not block you adding the next person. So as long as you deactivate the people that no longer need access, you should be good.

Hope this helps and please let us know if you have any questions around this. And have a great day.

Hello Bud,

Partly could help, but here is my exact situation:

- I have 2 members at my HUB :  1. info@camxxxx is the deactivated member    2. bass@bassXXXX is the admin, the owner

- If I check the Subscription at the Admin menu I have the following message :

Is it correct?

Thanks Jozsef,

The team has logged a defect for this as it should clear the user when you deactivate so that you can add another. Even with the error, you should be fine for now. Also note that every active member in a HUB uses a license. So if 5 people are accessing the HUB, then you are using 5 licenses. Even if 3 of them are PRoject Contributors.

Hope this helps and have a great day.

I'm a high school teacher and every year I have to clear off the previous years students from my team member list.  I somehow did this successfully in August.  The problem is that I have at least 2 students from last year that I have again this year, that can't invite me to their team now.  I think I'm missing something....  and I'm digging around trying to figure out how to bring them back.

Following the directions in this I should have an "Admin" link in my profile, but it's not there.  I am an admin user.

I know I'm really refering to two different issues, but they are I believe linked.  Can you help?

Hi @clarkbd  Thanks for using Fusion360 for your educational curriculum.

For the problem you mentioned..

The problem is that I have at least 2 students from last year that I have again this year, that can't invite me to their team now.

just ensure if he is on the team (not the personal/Single User storage) and what error does he face when trying to invite you. Ask them to create a new project and then invite you from that.

From the image you shared, I see you were a personal hub user (myhub. autodesk), I would really encourage you to shift to Teams for better managing of your data.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Sasi

The team hubs are great when we are working jointly on a project, which we do.  However, for learning, I prefer they are working in their personal hubs, that way we can be more reasonably certain they are actually doing the work themselves.  I only want them to be able to share their work with me.  I know that they can actually share with other students, but it's an extra couple steps, which I'm deliberately not teaching them.
