Fusion Team - Users/Licensing

I have stumbled across some conflicting information about licensing for Fusion Team (and I'm only talking about Fusion Team - no BIM)..

1.  When you purchasing Fusion Team for a year it states single user.  So that only entitles me to a single team member assigned to the hub, is that correct.

2.  If I want 50 team members on my hub, my purchase would be a qty of 50 or does that mean I would be purchasing 50 different fusion team hub/single user?

3.  I read an article today that project contributors on the BIM side now need a license.  Does that carry over to Fusion 360?  So if I had 50 team members and 50 project contributors, I would need 100 user license?

In the end is there a recent/update license whitepage regarding this matter.  What I found seems to be about 2 years old and things have changed from there.

Hi Mark,

If you want to purchase a Fusion team subscription for 50 users, then you should buy a single Fusion team subscription with quantity as 50. This way you will get a single Fusion Team subscription with 50 seats and this subscription should be assigned to your Fusion team hub. In future if you want to add more users into your hub, then you should go and purchase another Fusion Team Subscription with required number of seats and later assign this subscription also to your Team hub.

On par with BIM 360 Team, Project Contributors needs a purchased seat in Fusion Team as well. So all users who are purchasing Fusion and BIM team subscriptions have to purchase seats for PCs as well. Having said that, the guidelines differ a bit for already subscribed customers. Customers who already purchased BIM and Fusion team subscriptions and have been using our product for long can continue with their current subscription and do not have to purchase extra seats for PC's until January 2018 or until their contract expires, which ever comes first. HTH.

Thanks,

Thanks for the information..  One more question because I came from a Buzzsaw/Streamline infrastructure..  Seat Qty = # of enabled users..

I assume the seat count for your hub is based only on those accounts (team member or PC) that are listed as being active.  If a member or PC account is not active, their account doesn't consume a seat, is that correct?

Hi Mark,

  • Correct,, Seats = Entitlements, and are on a per member basis, regardless of if a Team Member or a Project Contributor.
  • 25 Team members + 25 Project Contributors would be 50 Entitlements (Seats if you will)
  • And NO, if a member is "deactivated", that then would not count towards your member entitlement (seat) count.
Thanks,
