z axis throws alarm when I run program

Hello and thank you for any input you can offer.

I created a simple drawing to drill holes into a piece of 3/4" ply.

Problem: when I run the program, the Z axis travels into the sensor and throws an alarm which stops the program.

I have included my drawing in hopes you can spot an error on my part.

Thank you again

Michael

The error in the simulation is caused by the milling cutter you are using has a Flute Length exactly the same as stock thickness and since you are going all the way through the program see an interference with tool shoulder.  Use a little longer milling cutter and the error in the simulation goes away.

John I programmed a longer cutter and its still doing the same thing. I start the program and the Z head raises to the limit switch and causes a error then stops all operations. This happens right at the beginning of the sequence.

thank you

I, of course, do not have access to your machine, I only addressed the error in the Fusion 360 manufacturing assembly.  I also do not have access to your post processor used to compile the program.  I would look at your output program and find the code causing this motion and modify it.

I think there is a bug in F360 in the hole algorithm.   I have tried several time to complete a simple hole into a .75" piece of ply. I have two separate operations where one works and the other fails.

I'm enclosing the file for review. Has anyone else experience this??

nc.  shell holes do not work

nc drum shell works fine.

Thank you for any input to this simple problem.
