XYZ Delta not appearing

New guy here trying to learn F360... I searched but the threads I found on this didn't help. I remember seeing it before it's not appearing now. Is this a setting I'm missing? Basically, when viewing the 2D picture from one plane I want to be able to measure the distance between 2 lines, not a 3D measurement. In the picture below, I want to measure from the one line to the top line so I know how high the tip of the bit is. Hope that makes sense...

Think in 3D. Then you get the "how high" result by selecting two faces.

Getting the xyz-distance: this option is available only when you measure between two points.

You can also do it in your example, but then you have to activate "show snap points" and then select two points in the two faces. In this specific situation, too much work for a lazy guy like me.

this doesnt solve the issue when you have surfaces that are not parallel and selecting edge points also does not work
