Working Offline: Maintenance

I have a couple projects that I have to get done for clients, but Fusion has been in Working Offline: Maintenance for over a day. I can't work in offline mode as the files I need are grayed out. Does Fusion 360 really take this long to update, or is another issue going on? My clients are eagerly waiting, so I need to get this resolved as quickly as I can.

Than you,

Bryson White

Fusion 360 does not take long at all to update if your internet connection is viable and of reasonable speed.  Is there a small number beside the indicated icon?  Left click on the icon, do you see an update percentage downloaded?  Left click on the icon, do you see a Fusion 360 request to Restart the application?

If you are facing this issue, can you please post your log files here?

Go to help -> Support and diagnostics -> Diagnostics log files. This will generate a zip file. Please add the zip file here.

(And just to make sure, have you restarted the machine and then see if this issue goes away?)

@jhackney1972, I don't have a number up where you've indicated, just a red dot. I have restarted the software through, with no change.

Found my issue's source. If you set the account email to the email of deleted account, F360 will be always in Offline state.

I have not changed my email, so this is not my issue.

Do you have any issues logging into your A360 (Fusion Database) using the same Autodesk ID as you are using to log into Fusion 360?

In your diagnostic log you have the following error showing showing up multiple times.

urllib.error.URLError: <urlopen error [Errno 8] nodename nor servname provided, or not known>

Are you using a proxy address or a VPN connection for you internet service?

@brysonwhitedesign The log shows that we are not able to refresh the token to authenticate. Can you please go here on your Mac

/Users/USER NAME/Library/Application Support/Autodesk and delete the folder - Web Services (Make sure you have Fusion 360 not running at this time). Once you have deleted the folder, restart Fusion 360. It will ask for your login credentials again. This should get you going online. If not please post back.

Nope. Do you know what else this might be referring to? It was working normal up until a couple days ago. Then it started saying it was under maintenance and hasn’t stopped yet, with no change on my part.

Yes, thank you for the suggestion. I have tried it, including rebooting the computer altogether. Unfortunately, the issue remains.

I'm having the same issues on a Windows 10 System. Is there a similar folder I should delete?

I am having the same issue. I have to deliver soon and fusion 360 had been stuck in maintenance 7-10-20 (3 days ago)

I tried all the suggestions in here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Fus...

But nothing worked out. I tried deleting the web services and still not working. I am working on a mac. Here is the diagnostic log file.

@wrpfohlXR4MC Can you please attach your log files as well?

@brysonwhitedesign We had our engineering team look further at the log files and here are some of the findings.

1. It could be proxy - Can you please confirm is there are any proxy set on your machine?

2. Security update - Any scan software update etc that happened on Friday when this problem started to occur?

3. Any other OSX update that you remember that happened on Friday?

4. Have you tried to restart your machine?

Hey @RajkumarIlanchelian ,

Thank you for continuing to look into this. Answers to your questions below.

1. It could be proxy - Can you please confirm is there are any proxy set on your machine?

I've looked under System Preferences -> Network -> Advanced... -> Proxies, and there are no proxies set.

2. Security update - Any scan software update etc that happened on Friday when this problem started to occur?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean with this. I've scanned my computer with Malwarbytes and detected 0 threats.

3. Any other OSX update that you remember that happened on Friday?

I'm on macOS Catalina 10.15.5 (19F101). It was last update on 6/18/2020.

4. Have you tried to restart your machine?

I have restarted a couple times.
