Hi, the problem is that when I use fusion 360. the program crashes and takes me to the windows blue screen, saying that the pc ran into a problem and has to be restarted. This problem only occurs with fusion and I tried uploading all the drivers but it didn't work. Please if you have any clue on what it could be I would appreciate it. Thank you.

My pc:

GeForce gtx 970M(driver 388.13)

Intel i7-4710HQ [email protected]

16gb ram

Given that Fusion is a bit more resource intensive than most applications, it's use is most likely exposing and underlying problem on the computer. Have you tried looking through the Windows Error logs to see what the cause of the BSOD (blue screen of death) is?

Most often BSOD are caused by:

  1. Device drivers
  2. RAM/Disk errors
  3. HEAT
  4. Hardware failures (power supply, etc)

Do you have drivers installed for other peripheral devices such as a tablet or a Spacemouse? Are these up to date as well?

You may want to run a few Windows diagnostics such as Disk Check, or running the memory diagnostic tool, below.

  1. Click on the Start button on the Taskbar.
  2. Type “Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool” or “Memory” (without quotes) in the Search box or,
  3. Click on Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool (in the search results).
  4. Click on “Restart now and check for problems (Recommended)”.
  5. The system will restart, and you need to follow the instructions given on the screen.

I hope that helps!

Hi, I don't have any peripheral installed and I have all my drivers updated, I runned the disk check and the memory diagnostic tool and it said it was everything ok, but the system stills crashing and showing the BSOD. Is there any possible way to check the hardware of the pc with a program?

Hello lukytruk,

Does the computer you're using happen to be an Alienware 17 R2? If so, has your primary battery failed?

I have one with the same specs you posted. My battery failed and I have the same issue. Unfortunately my battery reached it's end of life the moment I launched Fusion 360 so I cant say certainly that this is the reason.

Sincerely,

Bryce
