Is there a reason that 4140 Steel isn't available in the material library? It is a very common material. When I create drawings the customer is always asking why are we using 4130 or 4142 and not 4140, even though we are, it is just incorrect on the drawing.

You can add any material you need to a custom library.

A quick search would prompt the question, "What 4140 Steel, can you get the properties from your supplier?

Once you know the properties from your supplier - you can enter those properties in the Material Editor.

Once and done.

I have my students create a custom library just for our class...

I appreciate the quick response. I didn't know you could create a material and add to the library. I believe I can get the material properties, now I just have figure out how to do it. I did watch the only video that I could find but it wasn't very specific........ I do appreciate the help.
