Why is this sketch point visible while other points are not?

Here's something I've noticed many times with sketches. The point is not a point I've manually added using the 'point' tool, it's merely a point implicitly present in sketch geometry, such as a segment's end points.  In the sketch below there are many coincident points and all sorts of other points, and yet only a few are shown highlighted. In the case of coincident constraints, if I delete the constraint and then re-create it, the point is no longer highlighted.

Note that 'clicking empty space' doesn't in any way deselect the point, it remains highlighted even if I select other objects.

Each type of sketch point display has a meaning in Fusion sketch.  Here is a quick reference sheet from a class that @Phil.E and I did at AU last year:

The most important one is the black dot that you reference.  Mostly, it indicates a "point stack" - points that are on top of each other.  Normally, Fusion tries to share points, so that if you draw two connected lines, there is only one point at the connection.  But sometimes, that sharing doesn't happen, for a lot of complex reasons.

I took a look at your design, I don't see that particular point in my version of it:

However, there are other points that show this display.  If you left click and hold over one of those points (select other), you can see how many points are under there:

The point you are referring to does not show up in your sketch on my system in both viewing the sketch or editing it.  It seems to be a typical sketch point.

@jeff_strater Thanks for the cheat sheet, it'll bee keeping it handy. BTW is that AU lecture available online? If so, could you post the link here?

@jeff_strater and @jhackney1972, you are right, the point now shows up as a regular shared point, not as a stacked point. Yesterday I forgot to mention that I did do the left-click-hold thing (I actually use this all the time), and the list showed just one point, which was the very reason I came here for help, so it could be a bug.

I'll do a bit more digging and see if I can reproduce it. Just to reiterate , that project is a copy of the project I was working on. I deliberately made a 'snapshot' copy for sharing so I could continue working on my project. In other words, the stacked point being gone is not the result of me altering the sketch.

Thanks, @Scoox.  The AU class info is here:  fusion-360/mfg121944.  As near as I can tell, there is no stored video of this class (maybe @Phil.E knows whether there is a video), but the handout and presentation are available at this location.  If you have trouble getting access, let me know, I have them stashed in other places.

AFAIK there is no video. The handout has links to videos that Jeff made, so it's a read - n - play adventure in Fusion 360 sketching!
