You did not say what your operating system is but if it is Windows, you normally can use the built in "Microsoft Print to PDF.  If you have a subscription license, you can Export to PDF from the 2D Drawing environment.  Please check you drawing scale and the output scale to be sure it is configured correctly.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Someone here will create a video of the process for you using your actual model.

Hello Good day,my name is ronald van Leeuwen,am a newbee using fusion 360,about 1 yr now.I tried many things, watched almost all tutorials about fusion 360.To be able to save my sketch design as a file,so i can print this file as a normal 2d print.here lays the problem.you can not save/send a sketch to a printer in PDF,that option is to my findings NOT available.i can save as png, jpg, but those files will make me loose dimensions as i print these.I have a full licensed version, licensed for 1 yr,but i will never leave this program ,i will keep paying every yr for a new license. This is for me the most perfect program i have ever seen/used,I had the original autocad too, fully licensed for 1 yr, that costed my 5000 dollars, for 1 yr including the course how to use it.after 1 yr i still was not able to use autocad.fusion 360 therefor is so much more user friendly. The only option i have found,is like the tutorials have shown/teached me.

To make a professional 2d print,is like making a complete model first, the rip it apart and make from every part/body a 2d print, then i can have my technical 2d print,of which i can make a real body from wood or other materials to build my actual model.but you know that is way too much work, will cost a lot of printing time and ink,and papers.

i would love to have this option, like many other programs have"Ctr-P" so your pc just sends the screen view to my local printer and print what is on my screen.and this command does not excist in fusion 360,i tried

I create a very simple model and in the Screencast I step through the process of creating a 2D Drawing which I can print.  As I mentioned before and since you have a full Fusion 360 license, I recommend that you Export to PDF and then print the PDF.  I find it to be more accurate.

Hello Mr,Hackney, your video does make a lot more easy to understand, but this is the only way,but this is not what i am looking for,cos in this way, like i did subscribed,i have to make my full design, then rip it apart,so i can do as in your video, make a drawing form every part.i will go and try to make a 1st attempt to have my 1st part printed as i like it to be printed, tnx anyway for your time and afford to help me out

No, you don't have to do all of that work.

Attach your *.f3d file here and one of the experts here will do the work for you.

This is only possible via a screenshot, which is saved as an image file and printed.
However, only sketch dimensions are available for the parts, but no dimensions of features like extrusions, patterns ...
Recommendation:
Create the design with all details relevant to manufacturing  derive a 2D manufacturing drawing with the required views and dimensions & print it directly or via PDF.

hello Guenther,i tried, got several solutions,a few do work, but however,i have parts that are in real 9.5 meters,i want to be able to print this in a scale 1:10,so that would generate 3 pages using A3 printers,My goal is to be able to print construction darwings, you can print, copy to the material you use to make your model, wood, metal, foam, what ever,so you can cut out manual, and create your model in scale you like it to be,i work with scales 1:10 or 1 : 15

You can do this with a trick.
If the "plan" is larger than the drawing sheet, you move only one area at a time into the drawing frame and print it out. Then you do the same with the remaining areas. You should set marks for the later assembly of the sheets.

well the fact still remains, you can not make a normal print from a sketch,so you can not make a contruction drawing usable for model building

i tried this, with a main part of a model,in real the part (the Keel) is 9,5 meters long,so in scale 1 to 10 it would be 95 cm,if i can make a print on A3 paper,it would generate 3 pages, well that does not work,i tried many way

1. Extrude a dummy body from - sketch profile (minimum height)

2. save design

3. Create drawing from design

4. Select extruded body and correct view (top)

5. Select scale

6. Print or export as PDF

Hi,

If you want to create a multipage print, you have to do it with the tools of the PDF tool. You can find instructions on the web.

fusion 360 has a few options to make a print, sure, but the most simple option it does not have.you can print almost everything, but you can not make an ordinairy print from a sketch, without loosing its dimensions and scale
