Why cant Fusion 360 upload files when specified by user, not when a file is imported?

Hi guys, we use Autofusion 360 specifically to open and place CAD files into full configuration diagrams, which we then render out for use on our websites.

We find Autofusion 360 to be very very slow to use. When we import a CAD file, it can take up to 10 minutes to open, and it appears to be becasue the file is uploading to "the cloud" at the same time.

My question is, why can we not specify when to upload these files? If we could upload the files after doing our work, it would make our workflow so much quicker, instead of having to wait for every file to upload, as we initially import them.

Surely a setting could be added to "upload project" when a button is pressed, or when the project is closed (or similar)?

Thanks!

I don't think that's possible.

When importing a file to fusion 360. It has to upload it to the cloud before it could open it. That is why there is the delay between importing the file and opening it as the file have to be uploaded and converted to a format that fusion recognizes.

I hope this explanation helps.

Apologies, I should have mentioned the format is "x_t".

Not much to screencast really - I literally start Autofusion 360, and go to "file > open" and select the file, and then wait.

I know we dont use this software to its full potential, and to be honest, we only purchased it as it was the cheapest CAD software that can open x_t files and render them out.

Thanks!
