Why can't I engrave a Zero?

I am trying to engrave some numbers on a curved surface, 1.360 diameter tube.  I can engrave the numbers 1, 2, 5 etc fine, but wont let me select the zero. No matter how I select the contours it dives into the center of the zero. I am using a 45 deg engraving tool. The Feature (the zero) is .005 deep or pulled into the surface.  I am a paid user and can not find any other way to reach out for help on this problem.

Thanks,

Dan

Engrave is only a 2d op and should probably fail on this. Engrave should really be called V Carve and it needs an inner and outer profile and the tool will be driven to a point where it either contacts the 2 curves or one curve and max depth. see help for more info.

You can get it to work if you select both contours and set the top height manually like this. See attached file, but like I said this is not correct and will not follow the arc of the part.

Another option that might be easier is to use project with a single line font. See attached file, when selecting a font for text, scroll to the top of the list and there are several single line ".SHX" fonts.

This will follow the curve of the part.
