Why are my edits disappearing?

I'm designing a small cabin using F360 and twice now I have painstakingly edited the placement of wall studs only to come back to that part of the wall later and find that they're back to the previous un-aligned positions. Yet I have NOT touched the timeline for anywhere at any time and neither did I "Undo" anything. All I'm doing is moving stuff around, creating new sketches and components, only to find out that work I did 2 hours ago has somehow mysteriously been undone.

What is going on? This app is so unpredictable.

How are you moving these objects?  Are they components?  If you are using Move or Align, all that does is to put the design into a "Capture Position Pending" state.  If you see this UI in the upper right, you are in that state:

unless you use Capture Position, that state is transient.

However, this is not the recommended way to move components in a Fusion design.  Instead, use Joints (for a cabin, Rigid Joint or Rigid Group) to constrain the components into a reliable position.  Joints are associative to the selected geometry, and so are more stable when the design changes.
