Where to get simple questions answered?

As I work through intro tutorials I get a lot of good learning....however, I constantly run into simple things where I get "stuck".  Example:  when creating a design I create a sketch, extrude into a component and proceed on to create a second sketch that needs to reference or align to a side or edge of the original component.  I cannot figure out how to easily do this.

you are in the right place.  This is where to come for all levels of questions.

Regarding your question, usually you would use the "Project" command in sketch to project an edge from the first component into your new sketch:

One hint/request, though:  You will get much better answers if you add some more information to your questions:  Ideally, share the model you are working on, and some information (screen captures, steps, a video) that shows what you are doing, and some information about the results you expect.  Then, you will have a competition amongst the experts on this forum to answer your question!
