When using Pattern on bodies in a Group, generated bodies are created outside of that group

For various reasons, I generate hundred of new bodies when using Pattern, Linear.

Yes, I know I could have joined them, but I want them as separate bodies.

The new bodies fall outside of the Group that the original bodies were in.  This is a really annoying, because selecting them all is very slow.

Please make it so that generated bodies are not created outside of the Group the originals were in.

Hello,

When you are referring to groups, are you speaking of groups in the timeline?

Any further information would be greatly appreciated as it helps build a better picture of what the issue is.

I believe he's referring to bodies in a folder.

To organize bodies in the "Bodies" folder we can create a new group.

This basically creates a subfolder in the "Bodies" folder. We can drag bodies into this new group, but creating a pattern of a body that is located in such a group does not create the patterned bodies in that group, but rather in the overall bodies folder of the activated component.

Hello,
After looking into this matter further, I found that this is the same behaviour in copy and paste.

You cant activate a group, so the patterned instance do not get created within the group. You can create a new component, activate that and then do the pattern. I don't believe this behaviour is something that will be changed.
