When exporting as an STL slicers view individual component as a rigid object?

I have created 2 components and I am exporting them as an STL. When they enter the slicer I need to then position them individually so I can get the acceptable angle for adding supports

However, when I open the STL file in slicers, although the items have 'space' between them... they move asif they are joined.

This gif animation should hopefully demonstrate the problem

Edit - I realise I could save each individual component as its own STL but as this file will end up having dozens of pieces it would just take forever!

Hi @adammarkwalker, The problem is with the STL file type, once saved a single mesh is created regardless of components. Yet, within Fusion 360 you can select "Structure" and Save "One File Per Body" this is the fastest way to save out multiple STL files. To get this dialog I right clicked on the top of my feature tree and selected save as mesh.
