webgl Context Lost in generative design preview

Hello,

I'm running Fusion on a brand new computer with a high end graphics card and starting with this machine, whenever I click to preview a generative design file I get an error:

WebGL context lost

Unable to recover from software mode. Please restart your browser and reload the viewer

Is there a solution to this? Searching seems to show that this is a rare but reoccurring issue.

Hi @zachary_cohen,

Although it isn't the exact message you're seeing, have you tried the steps in the support articles?

Hope this helps,

Just tried those suggestions and unfortunately they didn't work.

Thank you for the suggestions though.

Hi @zachary_cohen,

Could you provide the graphics diagnostics? (Help pull-down > Support and Diagnostics > Graphics Diagnostic)

Also, the diagnostic log files when you see the WebGL error? (Help pull-down > Support and Diagnostics > Diagnostic Log Files)

As a temporary workaround, you should be able to view the outcomes using Fusion in a web browser - https://fusion.online.autodesk.com (FAQ)

Best regards,

Thanks for the reports @kczerwienka, and @ImCADing_CoryS.

I've added the additional information to the issue. Knowing this worked in the recent past (using the same hardware) could help development's investigation.
