Warning: Some profiles failed to create tool bodies

All-I try to do a double extrusion and get the warning: Some profiles failed to create tool bodies. I am mirroring Lars youtube from 8 years ago:  Fusion 360 Tutorial for Absolute Beginners— Part 1. I keeping repeating his side 2 extrusion steps and keeping getting the same warning. I am clicking on the inside face of the box, but it will not join properly and the gap he mentions is still there. Any suggestions? There is a similar post several years ago but it was not helpful.-kbnew

It is important to first drag the arrow in the second direction and then select the face.

I followed your steps. It will not let me select the filleted corner and I still get the same warning. See attached. I hope St Nicholas works extra hard for you .:)

After testing various procedures, I have to conclude that the process is very fragile.

Maybe @Phil.E  can take a look at it?

I'm not sure of whether you noticed the icons/options of To Selected Face and To Adjacent Faces have been exchanged their positions. In the Youtube video, he used To Selected Face option and it still works if you select this option and the inside face of the box.
