V Hotkey Toggle Object Visibility

Not sure if bug or missing feature, but on the current software version the V hotkey wont toggle an object's visibility when selected in the browser under manufacture workspace (as it does in the model workspace).

I know this doesn't sound like a big deal but it's huge for workflow, and I'm sure not hard to fix. Please add this functionality, thanks.

Hi @pete.oxenham

Thank for for bringing this to my attention! I've logged internal ticket CAM-16753 after reproducing this issue on my end and have recommend this is included in a hotfix to Fusion.

This is related however, slightly different.  When using V to hide a sketch object, the icon indicator does not change to reflect the current hidden state.

Also too seems to be unable to toggle visibility on 3d sketch objects, and works intermittently on regular planar sketch objects.

Hi @subversivespeed

Thanks for posting. I tested this and did not observe the behavior shown in your screencast - the V-key didn't hide the sketches at all. This is because selecting a sketch entity selects only that entity (or loop, with a double click). There is no way to select the entire sketch itself in the workspace - which I just noticed looking at the selection filters.

It seems like the ability to show/hide individual sketch entities could get pretty messy pretty quick, so I believe this is working as intended - I don't think the V-key shortcut should work to hide entire sketches. It

I am intrigued by your video though - the shortcut does seem to work when you select sketch entities in canvas.I haven't triggered this so far, but will keep an eye out.

Does the problem continue for you after a restart of Fusion? Does it occur only in specific files or with specific sketches? I didn't see any difference in behavior with 3D sketches either.

The shortcut also worked as intended when selecting a sketch through the browser on my end.

Hi Paul,

Yes, it seems to be repeatable between machines and restarts.  Just doesn't seem to follow the rules is all my concern was. But, if that is how it is supposed to be, then that's fine. I will open a few models and check the behavior to see if its model specific or global in behavior.
