Using Fusion 360 for Chinese Laser engravers

I have one of those "inexpensive" Chinese laser engraver/marking machines.  I'm trying to use Fusion 360 to make drawings/sketches for marking on several materials.  The laser is supposed to accept several file types, but they seem to get corrupted on the transfer somehow.  It also sends the files with a white background, that the machine tries to burn as well.  Does anyone have any suggestions to make this more seamless?

Thank you,

Curt

I would imagine its trying to use DXF or svg. How are you creating the files? Can you upload a sample file so we can see?

I'm making sketches in Fusion, then I tried exporting them as DXF files.   When the files came over, they weren't to size and the features didn't match.  So, I tried saving as a png file, same issues.  The EZCad 2 software is supposed to use vector files as well as .dxf, tif, jpg, png, and most bitmap files.  Another issue is, when it does bring the file over, the background is coming through, then the laser wants to "burn" the background too.  Maybe this is just related to the cheap chinese lasers and their software, but I wanted to ask to see?

Thank you,

It could be. Can you upload a sample so we can see if there is something in the DXF?

Here are two photos of the same sketch, in both programs.  I included the dxf file as well.

Have you tried saving the sketch as a dxf? Instead of full exporting. I'm concerned the DXF isn't quite right out of fusion.

That took care of it.  I had never saved as a .dxf from the sketch before.  Thank you for your help.
