Usability of Logitech mouse

Hello,

I use the Logitech MX Anywhere 2S mouse model when I work with Fusion 360. But I can not find how to configure fusion, so that I can use the orbiting and pan tools shortcuts on my mouse. Do you know how to fix this issue, because it would be much easier to work with the mouse shortcuts?

@Anonymous just so we're looking at the same thing, are you working with the Logitech Options utility pictured below?

Can you give me an idea of what gestures or input you want to use for these? There are a few different Pan/Zoom/Orbit configurations already built in to Fusion 360 (Link) - do any of these meet your needs?

Are you trying to activate them without use of modifiers like Shift/Ctrl?

In that case, you might be able to achieve this using the Advanced Click macros pictured below:

What did you hav to do to get it working?  I'm going through the same thing right now and just about ready to throw this thing out the window.

Go on the Logitech app which you downloaded with the mouse. Assign the middle click button (the one just next to the scroll wheel) as "middle button" in the app. That should solve your problem. If not, contact Logitech support, they were able to help me.

Hi @lance.carocci I am trying to get my wheel or my middle button to do a PAN in Fusion, to no avail, I saw your advanced click screen capture but no way to see where these settings are in my Logitech settings panel...

You got to love replies like this. Please tell people what the solution actually is so that they don't have to call Logitech support!

@patrick.emin , this is how I solved it. In the system tray on the lower right of your screen, there should be a little Logitech utility icon (red arrow)

Open that up, and you should get to this:

Select 'Zoom' in the list in the middle, and 'Middle Button' on the right so it looks like:

Click 'apply', and you should be good to go.

Thanks @steve depending on the model you have things looks different, but I was able to use my middle button in Fusion, for my Logitech mouse (MX Anywhere 2S) it's a physical button separate from the wheel.

Hi, I am using a Master MX3 on a Mac (Big Sur). Pan and Orbit do not work. I tried to configure the middle button in Logitech Options as described above yet it only gives me "App Exposé". Any ideas what might work?

Hi,

I don't think I can help you with your problem. I would suggest you to contact the Autodesk support.

I presume that you would have to turn off/change the "app exposé" gesture in mac settings so it doesn't override your logitech settings.
