URGENT: all CAM libraries gone (cloud & local), restore doesn't help

so since a couple of das ago all my CAM libraries are gone. Tool library both local and cloud are empty. I followed the steps outllined in the support articles and found some of the libraries in the trash of the assets folder. i restored them but still they do not show up in Fusion. cleared the cache, made sure that i have permissions (team/personal) .. still empty tool library and no cam presets in the popup menu. i can load some of the cam presets by clicking 'load' but there are only 4 old presets left whereas i had over a dozen before.  i can import the xported/downloaded json files for the tool libraries, but again only old ones are there, some are empty and all the recent tool library additions and feed/speeds changes i made in the last 6 months are gone.

i have a Mac (running Monterey) and a Laptop (Win11), it's the same on both computers. NO changes have been made to either computers OS and the only thing i did was update Fusion when it forced me to. THIS IS NOT USER ERROR ! How is this even possible ... months of work GONE. Now instead of getting my project out on a super tight deadline i need top setup all my tools again, all the recent feeds and speeds for specific tools and materials: GONE. All my recent cam presets: GONE.

I would really like someone from Fusion support to help me out here ASAP

Can you try this?

  1. Shut down Fusion completely.

  2. On Mac OS, open the folder:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/BRV4J2FW2NMJ/W.login

º The `BRV4J2FW2NMJ` folder may have a different name on your mac.

º ~ is your home directory, usually /Users/<username>.
º In Finder you may need to press `cmd-shift-.` to reveal hidden files to see the `W.login` folder.
º On Windows navigate (Explorer) to the folder %localappdata%\autodesk\autodesk fusion 360\<userid>\W.Login.

  3. Rename (don't delete) the "M" folder to anything (I renamed it to `zzz`).

  4. Restart Fusion and check your cloud tool libraries, they should be there now.

  5. If that worked, you can now delete the renamed "M" folder (which in my case is now `zzz`), but keep the new "M" folder. Do not delete that one.

And what do you see when you navigate to the web browser for your CAM Assets?

thx @seth.madore for your quick reply! i don't have time to troubleshoot this properly, i have only a couple of hours time left until i have to start this job and only have a limited machine slot on this CNC for the next 2 days. i've found a folder in the M>backups folder and the tools and templates jsons i was looking for are in there. so i will just import them for this job for the next 2 days and then have a proper look at this once the job is done since i can't run late with this and risk more problems while troubleshootin.

i still can't understand why this happened. i also noticed in the last couple of days that Fusion often stalls witzh the beachball for a couple of seconds, especially on projects with a lot of history. also the cursor will often change to a low resolution black & white circle with 4 quadrants (looks like the waiting cursor from MacOS 7, see screenshot) and i have to move to the menu or data panel for it to change back to the proper cursor, very annoying since this happens every few minutes.

Again i haven't changed anything on my machines and all other software runs fine. I also have a fast machine proper graphics card and 64 GB of RAM.

Yeah, this is a known (and annoying) issue that's cropped up recently, I think we've fixed this internally.

@seth.madoreso i followed your instructions and renamed the M folder with Fusion closed. After restarting fusion most of the cloud libraries are still not in the tool library nor are the cam presets. When i look in my web assets folder i can see all the old tool libraries that were previously in the trash which i restored. but they do not display/load in the Fusions tool library. The only cloud libraries i see in fusion are the ones i reimported in the last days from the backup folder into the cloud. i also managed to import the missing libraries into my local libraries so at least i have my old tools back, but not the cam templates which show up in the web asset manager but not in fusion. Also since i use 2 computers the local libraries are not in sync if i make changes to them on one of the computers.
