Upload Queue Stuck

I've been having the same problem reported by other users where the upload queue gets hung up.

1. I create a project, or new item within an existing project.  Or I just modify something.

2. I go to close F360, and get the popup window that states F360 is waiting to upload/save various files.  Sometimes one, sometimes multiple files or versions.

3. Files never finish uploading and I'm forced to "Quit Now" in order to close F360.

4. Next time I open F360, my computer grinds to a crawl and F360 is using 99% of CPU time, in addition to monopolizing my internet connection (everything else on the network stops.

5. Job Status window shows one or more files trying to upload, but they're stuck.

6. I can still use F360, but it's slow and I can't close it without using the "Quit Now" button.

I have tried clearing the cache.  I have edited the upload queue .xml file, removing various files in accordance with the directions posted on other related threads.

This is the second time F360 has gotten "stuck" this way in the past month.  Last time I had to do the "work off-line, change model, save copy as, close F360, open F360, work online" dance and that worked.

Now that it's happened a second time, I'd like to know why this is happening.  Am I doing something wrong?

Is an internet connection hiccup causing F360 to go crazy?

Is there bad data in the model/project that's causing F360 to hang?  And if so - what can I do about it?

Hi @spumco,

Thank you for posting! There could be a temporary network related issue when that happened and I don't think you did anything wrong, and I'm not aware of a way to prevent it. Could you attach the diagnostic log file so I can take a closer look at the issue?

I'm not sure if this is related but are you hitting the Save button before closing Fusion?

Thanks for the reply.  I've attached the diagnostic log files.

As for manually saving: sometimes yes, sometimes no.  Has happened both ways.

Masanobu,

It's happened again - files getting stuck and F360 locking up.  Anything to report after reviewing the diagnostic logs?

Thanks,

Spumco

Hi @spumco,

I apologize for my slow response! I looked at the logs and found the followings in it:

The Proxy Auto-configuration URL was not found

And

Call to OSSService::uploadFile failed with Status: Failure when receiving data from the peer. Result Code: 56

This made me think the issue is related to your network environment. Are you using proxy by any chance? If so, the suggestions made in this forum thread may help solve the issue. Also, could you try disabling anti-virus software if you are using any just to test if that is causing an issue?

Lastly, have you tried switching to offline mode, saving, going back to online mode? Are you still having the issue right now?

Masanobu,

I'm not using a proxy, so that's not - or shouldn't be - the issue.

I'm using windows standard AV.  I'll try turning it off and see what happens.

I've been experiencing spotty internet connectivity lately; not my network, but the service provider.  I'm wondering if the 'failure when receiving data from the peer' is the result of these momentary interruptions and causing F360 uploads to get stuck.

Yes, I had the problem earlier today, but after using Win task manager to force F360 to close (after it hung up) and re-starting the computer it seems to have cleared up.  The first restart resulted in a stuck upload queue, and the second uploaded/synchronized properly.

I'll check out the other thread you mentioned just in case.

Thx.
