Uploading files (3D models, old design files or hdr images for rendering' is not possible.

Clicking the ´upload´, ´new design from file´ or  ´attach custom environment´ button does not do anything -> clicking does not open any folder, the file directory is not activitated to search my (local) files.

Hi @f.m.kistemaker,

Can you please try the following and let me know if this works:

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner of Fusion and select Preferences
  2. Navigate to Network tab
  3. Disable "Optimize file transfers depending on network performance
  4. Restart Fusion and try the upload

Does this make a difference?

Thanks,

Does not solve the problem.

I think the problem is that the application is not able to connect tot my local windows file explorer. Any button that should open the file explorer does not activate the required explorer window. Basically nothing happens when clicking ´new design from file´ or ´attach custom environment´.

The generic upload functionality does work when working with F360 in the cloud so it seems it´s a specific configuration or communication problem between the local installed F360 en my Windows software.

I have reinstalled F360 but that didn´t resolve the problem.

I did not have the problem two weeks ago...   could it be that a F360 upgrade created this conflict with my PC?

My PC: DELL / MS W10 i7-8750H with NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050Ti 4GB graphics card.

Additional info: Upload does not work by clicking 'select' since that requires opening the file explorer window BUT it does work with 'Drag & Drop' by drag and drop a file from my file explorer to the Drag & Drop window in F360.

Hi @f.m.kistemaker,

That is very strange, but seems plausible. I'm trying to rack my brain of what could have caused that. Was that after an install, or did something recent change in your setup? Perhaps this was post a crash of Fusion. Also, was this functionality working at one point on your machine?

Thanks,

Agree, this is very strange. I'm not sure when exactly the problem started and I don't think settings have changed.

I did reinstall the application and still the problem exists. Could it be that my windows settings are blocking entry to my folders from the Fusion application? The reason why I'm looking in that directio is that any action in Fusion to open explorer does not respond. Saving to my local folders is possible but uploading (and looking in my local folders) is not possible.

There is a bug where if the last open\save was to a directory or drive that's no longer available you do not get the windows Open\Save dialogs. There's a fix in this post or you could try a clean uninstall using the tool here.
