Unfold Arch bend profile and add features to flat pattern (Fusion 360 Sheet Metal)

I'm trying to add some cutouts on this part's flattened pattern but it won't show in the bent profile.

I'm activating the flattened pattern and making the cutouts there but they won't follow to the folded state. For some context I started with the bent state and then made a flat pattern.

Use unfold to modify your part and after it is done then use flat pattern.

I click on the unfold command and it prompts to give the stationary entity but it doesn't identify one...

How do I work around this? Is there a feature I add? I want to keep the model as representative as possible.

There is a difference between "Create Flat Pattern", which unfolds the entire model, and can be used to document the design in a drawing and "Unfold/Refold", which temporarily unfolds part of your sheet metal design in the Design workspace, to allow additional features to be added to the folded part, but while it is temporarily unfolded.  Features added during Unfold/Refold will exist in both the folded and flat pattern.  Features added to the flat pattern will exist only on the flat pattern.

Hi,

just add a bit via extrude/join

If the added element is longer you can also remove it  (extrude/cut) after refold.
