Undo a dimension constraint

Can you please tell me how I can get rid of a dimension constraint, it seems once you use this you are doomed to be stuck with it?

@charlescooke58

Edit a sketch, right click on the dimension, select delete - if I understand what you are looking for

 doomed to be stuck with it

What does this mean?

Deleted dimensions can be restored with Undo, but in only the current session..

Deleted dimensions' references can not be deleted, but will be unavailable.
