Unable to stich this model together into one object

Got this model from a manufacturer and want to incorporate to a larger assembly and then into drawing mode, but I'm able to successfully stitch the model into one body. When I try to do so most of the model gets deleted. I tried tolerances ranging from 0.01-5mm.

Also just spent some time trying to patch some larger holes, but that didn't seem to help the stitching either.

I think you should go back and ask the manufacturer for a neutral "solid" model such as STEP or SAT.

This model was deliberately created in this scrambled state by the manufacturer to make reverse engineering difficult.

Simple thickening, as you have discovered, will not work. Re-creating all the missing surfaces is going to be very difficult and time intensive, provided it can even be done.

I think the best workaround is to create solid geometry that approximates the geometry.

to add to what @TrippyLighting says, please do NOT try to stitch with a 5mm tolerance.  Even if stitching with such a large tolerance is ultimately successful, that will only get you one step farther on, you will very likely run into much worse problems with any subsequent modeling or even sketch operations which reference this geometry.  Tolerant geometry should be used only as a last resort, and only when you really don't plan to do do anything further with the model.

In Autodesk Inventor Professional you can have an assembly combination of solid and surface bodies in creating 2D drawing documentation.  No need to convert to solid bodies.
