Unable to Save

Around two weeks ago, Fusion 360 stopped allowing files to be uploaded to the Fusion 360 server, there aren't any error codes. The document gets stuck in the uploading progress and the users lose all work as the progress isn't being uploaded to the server. The clients are currently using 2.0.13375, I checked the blog page to research if this was a bug within Fusion 360, but nothing was found. I NEED HELP!

Kind Regards

Thanks for posting this. Sorry to hear of the trouble.

It sounds like you represent a number of users. Are you representing an educational institution or a business?

This article has a link that might help, where it says "if no update is pending". Does that help?

Hi Phil,

To answer your question I'm representing for an educational institution, after some further investigation I've noticed a few things which I need answers for, so I hope you can answer some of my questions.
Can you please explain how Fusion 360 works in terms of the client as a whole? Is it true that the application is being streamed via the Fusion 360 servers? Also if the educational institution has a web filtering system what are the requirements needed to be put into place to ensure the full functionality of Fusion 360.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon

Kind Regards

Hi,

It sounds like you need a lot of information, so I'm going to give you several links to help. But first, answering your questions.

First, the question about streaming. Fusion 360 is typically used as a locally installed client that requires access to the internet. The cloud is used to store design data, the local client is used to do the CAD modeling.

Some students are able to use Chromebooks which operate differently. The student-chromebook combination requires live streaming to servers that run the client via internet. This is not recommended when local computers are available to run Fusion 360.

Now for the links.

If you have any questions just let me know.
