Unable to Register for Fusion 360 Hobbyist

When attempting to get a hobbyist license for Fusion 360 I get stuck at the "Complete your fusion 360 for personal use download" web page. I fill in all the information but nothing happens when I click the "Next" button. I've seen several forum posts with somewhat similar issues but none of those solutions have worked for me. Every solution for new users leads to this page and I can't get past it.

Things I've Tried:

  • Different browser (FireFox, Chrome, and Edge)
  • Logging out and logging back in
  • Clearing cache/cookies
  • Clicking "Next" with incomplete info (tells me to complete the info, but doesn't do anything after I do)
  • Using completely different info

Experiencing the same thing after being prompted to get a new subscription from F360. Behavior the same from current Firefox and Chrome. No indication this is a validation problem, no fields highlighted, but tried different  things like #####-#### in ZIP, no change.

Hallo,

as a new user I have a same Problem.

Another question.

Is the Fusion 360 for personal use only intended for the US only or are EU countries included?

Also tried:

  • Signed out - prompts for sign in, behavior the same after.
  • Private/incognito browser window - Forces fresh login, but no change in behavior on the form page, "Next" button does nothing.

In tracing the actual TLS communication when I submit the form, I'm seeing a 500 server error response from the server receiving the form submission:

fusion360-renew-2021.jpg

3.221.189.143  resolves to  ec2-3-221-189-143.compute-1.amazonaws.com  , which I don't have any way of knowing if is a correct receiver for the submission, though I can see that some Autodesk services are hosted at Amazon:

c.wa.autodesk.com  ==>  dhx-snowplow-ecs-loadbalancer-301895776.us-east-1.elb.amazonaws.com

I see Autodesk staff active, could we get an acknowledgment that this has been reported?

I'm dealing with this as well! This is sickening and unbelievable.  It's sad that I'll probably have to purchase their products long into the future, because I don't want to spend a dime after this.

Read message #6, first paragraph, in this forum post and see if it helps you out.

Thank you for the input J, the issue in this thread reported by the original poster is the process breaking at issuing the 1 year hobbyist license, not the actual product download.

I've been using F360 for 2 years and I'm trying to renew my license, the process is the same and is breaking at the same point.

Exactly

The problem is registering Fusion 360 for personal use only/hobbyist. Not Client download.

In the first paragraph of the message, it gives the direct link to the Fusion 360 Streamer download.  It may be hard to see if you do not look closely so I emphasized for you.  This is just a screen capture so go back to my earlier post and try it for yourself.  You can finish up registration after using the streamer installation.  All you need is a prior Autodesk Account and you have that if you are using the forum. By the way, I am the same person as jhackney1950, I just logged in using my subscription account this time.

I have downloaded the streaming installed from the link provided, it tells me that I have the latest F360 installed, which I related above.

From within F360, I do have the option to click Subscribe now, but this only gives me choices for the student or for-pay subscriptions. I don't want these, I want the hobbyist subscription.

I have no direct path from the F360 client to the hobbyist renewal page, only a direct link here., if you know a better path that would be helpful.

Just for clarification @dinko.lackovic is stating that Fusion 360 is installed for them in demo mode, which is not the goal, the goal is to get or renew a hobbyist subscription, which none of us in this thread have been able to do, yesterday or today.

I took the time to use a Manual Uninstall Process for Fusion 360 on my laptop.  I then used the streamer, listing in this post, to reinstall.  After reinstall, I logged in using my Fusion 360 Personal License Autodesk Account and all works just perfect.  I do not know your process of uninstalling, restarting into an administrator rights account and reinstalling but you are not doing it completely.

I think this guy don't understand our problem....

@jhackney1972  Plz read first post one more time. We are talking about renewing/getting license for a personal use only/hobbyist....

3-4 People with the same problem from the first post, and you are talking about streamer, downloading/installing/reinstalling/uninstalling, logging in or logging out....

John, I understand you're trying to help, but what you've done is not an apples-to-apples comparison. Installing/uninstalling has nothing to do with my issue, my 1 year personal use subscription is expired and I can't get another one issued, and that is the common issue in this thread (whether a new install or not).

Your personal use license is not expired, so you're not being prompted to renew.

If you're arguing the case that me not having uninstalled the product is affecting whether I can issue a new 1 year personal use, then I don't see how that affects a new user with the same symptoms on the "personal use" page.
