Unable to import specific font

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello All,

I am trying to import the MS33558 military font. It installs fine and can be used by every other programs on my machine (TurboCAD, FreeCAD, Paint.net, etc.) But not Fusion360.

I also made sure I unblocked the font via control panel/font/MS33558/properties.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

John

Hi,

1. Fusion prefers OTF Fonts

2. If that doesn't help either, I create the Text in Inkscape and import it as SVG in Fusion.

Hello Gunter,

I must have gotten confused as I thought Fusion360 preferred TTF over OTF. Oops.

I'll give that a go.

Thank You.

@g-andresen is really on the ball!  If you need a text converter site, this one works well.  I am sure you know you must restart Fusion 360 once you add it to Windows.

The most common military-style font in Word documents is Arial, Times New Roman, Helvetica, Courier, and more. Each of these fonts is used by different military agencies when it comes to formal letters or urgent requests. If you notice the Air Force logo, you’ll see that they used the font Bold-Extended Berthold Akzidenz in the word United States AIR FORCE. Akzidenz Grotesk Font, a sans-serif typeface font, was released in early 1898. The Marine Corps uses the Colossalis typeface in its logo name. The font, Colossalis can be used in different sizes from H1, H2, H3, H4, and H5.
