Solved: Trying to export just as an .STP (Is it the exact same thing as a STEP file?)

So I wanted to export a project as just a .STP file but I only see the option for STEP. I'm wondering if .STP files and .STEP files are the same thing or is there an option to choose to export as one or the other in Fusion 360?

They are the same type of export format. In Fusion 360 you only have the one standard type of STP format, in higher end CAD applications there are normally three standards of STP exports.
