Trying to create a limited motion link between slider and revolution

I'm trying to create a door that swings open before a panel slides out. The door must be open before the panel reaches it, but with motion link the panel either passes through the door while it opens or the door opens and closes multiple times as the panel slides out. How do I get the door to open only on the first 10mm of the slider and not constantly. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

You are probably looking to create a Motion Study.  In a Motion Study you can select multiple Joints and set their motion independently.  The only issue with a Motion Study is you have limited control over the speed.
