Trouble With pick points in drawing mode.

I have a drawing here that I cannot select the furthest outside edge of. I'm trying to note bend dimensions and this is getting very frustrating.

Hi @DillonRA

Have you tried using Object Snaps?

That is a handy trick, but unfortunately still not working for me.

As a note, I did have to reorient the flat pattern in the design before starting my drawing because Fusion likes to pick an edge at random to align with the x-axis.

I cannot for the life of me get a video to embed in a reply. I get an HTML error.

Hi @DillonRA

Yes, OK, this is a not going to be possible with a snap (just yet). Right now, if a Snap is not available, the best bet is going to be to use a sketch. I would draw a line on the model, as shown in the video below.

We are going to be addressing this dimension type in the coming months. I know that the workaround is not great, we are planning to be add an "Arc Extents" or Maximum distance type dimension, which would address this need.

That is pretty time consuming, but it definitely works.
Thank you!

Hopefully a fix for flat pattern orientation will release soon as well. That has to be the most frustrating part of Fusion for me.
