trouble loading fusion 360 trial

i can't seem to get the "autodesk client downloader" to install Fusion 360 on my macbook pro.  It installed fine on my mac mini.  When I right click to open the client downloader I get a window pop up:

“Right-click > Open to Install” is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?

And:

“Right-click > Open to Install” is on the disk image “Fusion 360 Client Downloader (1).dmg”. Google Chrome downloaded this disk image today at 1:28 PM from www.autodesk.com."

When I click "open" I get a second window:

"streamer quit unexpectedly."

And:

"Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple."

When I click "reopen" the window loop continues.

Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Please attach your autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log.  You can find it using this web article.

I'm not sure I understand. I can't get Fusion 360 to install at all. I've only been able to download the autodesk client installer. It won't open for me to install and open the Fusion 360 trial.

If you execute the Fusion 360 Installer EXE and it fails, it will create an "autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log" file in the folder indicated on the web page I sent.  It does not matter when it fails, the file will be created.

Edit: the file is created because of the installer, not the application not running.  In your case, as you say, you cannot get the application to even install and that is what it covers.

I’ll try again.

Problem solved.  I simply needed to update my MacBook to Big Sur… EZ.

I was still running Mojave.

Thanks to anyone who helped.
