Trouble Extruding on Imported DXF

Hey,

I'm looking to take this file from a 2D sketch (imported DXF, laser cut grille for a customer's truck) to 3D with extrusion so I can make a rendering. For some reason the extrusion wants to recognize the inside of each hexagonal cutout and lettering, instead of the actual "surface" of the piece. The outer border is closed and I'm not quite sure what to do as I'm new to Fusion 360.

Any help is much appreciated. I've attached the file.

Your DXF was exported to two layers which created two sketches when imported to Fusion 360.  A Profile cannot be created across two separate sketches.  All you have to do is add a line to complete the border of the profile to make it complete.  Model attached.

I appreciate the quick responses from you and @jhackney1972 , I think I accidentally put that second sketch in before uploading the file. I've attached a new one that I imported and it is a single sketch without the missing line, but still can't do the proper extrusion - any idea why that might be?

Thank you both for the help - is there any chance you could also show me how to redefine the sketch plane to "front" for modeling? I've searched several threads but can't seem to get the redefine option to show up.

As I mentioned in the Screencast two things were preventing this DXF for forming a profile.  The inside of the "O" in Southern was completely messed up so I just traced over it.  The outside profile had a single break in it which was repaired with a Coincident sketch constraint.  The profile still had a problem when trying to extrude it so I went a different route, probably a little new to you but explained in the Screencast.  Model is attached.

Hi,

It would be good if you could try to match the offered ready-made solutions with Screencast.
Then you would not have to ask such questions.
