trim tool not working

I am trying to use the trim tool in a very complex drawing and it just stopped working. Segments are highlighted in red when I hover the cursor over them but when I click on the segment, it remains highlighted for a second but the segment doesn't disappear. Anyone have the same issue, know how to fix it or what causes this?

I think you meant to say your are having trim problems in your "model" not drawing.  You cannot trim in a 2D drawing, as far as I know.  Anyway, it is very hard to diagnosis your issue without working with your file.  Please attach it and also attach a screencast or screen capture indicating the particular lines you are having issue with.

Thanks for your reply. I actually meant sketch, but considering I’m using fusion to create a file for laser cutting aluminum plate, I definitely didn’t mean model. Also I was able to sort out the issue on my own and am happy to report that you most definitely can trim a 2D sketch. Thanks again for your input, have a good night.

It not your drawing and not your imagination. I used to use this tool all the time but wiht all the updates its garbage - i spend most of day waiting for fusino to load it spins and waits and not responding when doing simple trim- they want you to give them a file to diagnose.. it with all files , every file - files that i trimmed fine months ago before updates.. the fusion tries to hard to control you like MS and trashes your whole computer.. Its not worth buying - I cant wait about 3 minutes to trim one little segment -   id be here about 10 hours doing about 5 minutes of normal work.. the lost hours are astronomical..  FUSION is not prime time - its should be free not a paid program at this level of function and dependability.. fusion is garbage.. too bad i spent a long time learning it and investing time in while they trash the system with updates and control.   I have no idea if support reads this - but i am sure they know .

@codyMXGYF

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Someone will demonstrate how to resolve the issue using your actual geometry.
