Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting! I had a look at your screenshot and it looks like all the toolbars and menus usually shown in Fusion 360 are present - are you still experiencing problems? If so, please clarify what toolbar seems to be missing and we will go from there.

For reference, here is a screenshot of Fusion on my Mac. The top bar looks different (Mac vs. Windows OS), but the toolbars within Fusion are identical.Screen Shot 2018-01-25 at 11.59.01 AM.png

Have you tried a reset, press Ctrl+Alt+R.

And try not to start new threads as it makes it harder to help.

Old thread you started. I'm guessing when you say you've got it back you mean you've reinstalled Fusion not the toolbar.

I don't want to open a new thread - existing thread sounds handy for finding similar issues.

Fusion360 on my computer (Win10/64, V1803 [Build 17134.648]) hides the icons of top menu and construction history. If I hoover over the bars, the tooltips appear and I can even execute the tools.
Hmmm. I will show Fusion360 to some students, would be easier to explain with visible tool bittons.

Thank you for any hint!

Has it ever worked for you? You might want to try a clean uninstall reinstall, use the uninstall tool here. If that doesn't work can you get a screen grab of your graphics diagnostics and use the photo option to embed. Try to avoid attaching pictures please.

Hello Mark,

thank you for quick response! I checked on different machines and with two different autodesk-accounts. Some of the computers still using Version 2.0.5519 (Helpmenu, Info). There all toolbars are visible, everything is fine, independent from autodesk account/login.
Another computer: After restoring a clean WIN 10/64 image (from january, by clonezilla) I installed Fusion360 from webstream: Tools are executable, but tool icons are NOT visible. One can find them by hoovering over the region, looking for the tooltips popping out. Again, this behaviour is independent from autodesk account/login. This new installation of Fusion360 is Version 2.0.5658.
So I went back to the "older" image computer to continue preparing the course. After logging on even on this computer now the icons vanished. Seems that in the last 15 minutes Fusion360 is updated - perhaps triggered by my login. I check Help>Info (tooltips popping out!) and Yeah, right: now it is Version 2.0.5658.

First experience was on a ThinkPad T480, WIN64 (Version 1803), GeForce MX 150, Version 398.36.
The other computers are both Lenovo Yoga Books, 720-15, WIN64 (Version 1803), GeForce  GTX 1050, Version 385.54.

Are there other users complaining this issue?
Hope my notices may help and thank you for your efforts!
Regards, Philipp

@HughesTooling, and @Anonymous

It could be related to other issues. But first thing i notice is those drivers are last updated in October.  So lets start there.

@Anonymous, are you running multiple monitors?

Thank you Ryan, I apologize for the old driver....
The Yogabooks are running without second screen, the Thinkpad runs the integrated 4K display plus an external screen (Dell 24", 1920x1200).
Yesterday evening the problem was solved without any intervention by me. So all icons are visible in newer version of Fusion360, even with an old GeForce driver. On the Thinkpad Fusion360 (driver from june 2018) also shows all icons now.

Nevertheless I started updating the drivers.
For the moment, I think this issue is solved. Thank you both!

So specifically, what was the actual fix?  I have the exact same problem.  I'm on a Lenovo ThinkPad P51 using Windows 10.  I've been working around it using the blind 'hover' method, which is ok for the top tool bar - but not the missing history bar.  I was hoping the problem would eventually just cure itself, but weeks later - no such luck.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

It's not linked with an Autodesk account, but with different hardware. On an Thinkpad T480 the problem vanished automatically, but after five days it came back: no tool icons, no history icons. Now it was helpful to download a new GPU driver for the GeForce MX150. Nvidia doesn't provide an newer driver, but I found something suitable on the lenovo website.
Good luck, Philipp

Thanks Phillip, I appreciate your reply!

One thing I just now discovered...  I typically launch F360 with a command icon that is 'pinned' to my taskbar and for some reason (?) I launched F360 from the icon on my desktop.  And low and behold -  the top and design history toolbars are now restored.

The pinned taskbar icon was actually reading/mapping a slightly older version (2.0.5677) of F360.  My desktop icon is associated with version 2.0.5688.  So I deleted the old pinned taskbar icon and re-pinned the newer desktop icon to the taskbar.  I hoped this would be the fix, but strangely it still loses the top and history toolbars.  I double checked the versions and the taskbar launch is reading the latest version.  So the problem that I'm having is associated with launching F360 from the pinned taskbar icon, which I will no longer do.

My problem is solved, as I will launch F360 using only the desktop icon.  I hope this may be helpful to someone who is experiencing similar issues.
