Hi guys,

Total newbie to fusion and my cnc machine. I'm looking to engrave a logo. 3mm Chamfer bit for engraving. Can't seem to create the 2D pocket. Any help would be amazing

Please attach your model, that is what the Forum users need.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

I am curious why you ask a question, then are asked to supply your model, which is needed to give a good answer, and then you disappear?  If you still have need for help on this issue, please attach your model or post a reply that you do not need any further help.

Apologies, I altered the approach and engraved instead which worked well for me but still same issue with 2d pockets. I've attached model now and hope it's an obvious solution. thank you so much for taking the time to help

For a 2D Pocket, you had the wrong tool which was probably you issue.  I selected a flat end mill smaller than your cut and it works well.  I have attached your model but I caution you that it is a F3Z file, the same you sent me.  If you open it, you will have to Upload it to the Cloud.  I recommend you use a separate folder so you will not contaminate your existing work with mine.

I included a short video to show you it worked in case you do not want to download it.

That helped thanks, I had tried that myself with another version except it kept cutting out the holes in the letters when exported and the one you sent over, when I export it to candle the actions are reversed.. so the bit lowers when it supposed to rise and rises when its supposed to lower. The diagram in Candle is like looking from the bottom even though the simulation has it on the top.

I am not sure what you mean when you say "exported it to candle"?  Trying to read between the lines, I will take a guess.  You could possibly have the wrong post processor or have some setting wrong on your machine.  I do not have an CNC capacity, I can only go by the Manufacturing Simulation in Fusion 360 to the toolpath.
