Titans 6M Press Pull problems

Hi everyone,

I am having some issue with the press pull feature whilst trying to model the Titan Academy 6M, the model is a cylinder with four through holes and five threaded holes. The threaded holes have a centre rectangle placed on top of each hole which should create a column when the press pull feature is used but when i try to do this all that happens is the cylinder face and the holes move down and the centre rectangles are left floating above the face instead of creating five columns.

I have tried everything i can think of including extrude but it just wont create the columns from the centre rectangles.

I would post the link to youtube but i don't know if this violates the forum rules.

What you need to do is go back to the sketch where you created the rectangles and Project the outside edge of the model into the sketch.  This will give you the necessary profiles to execute the Press-Pull command.  Without this project edge you are selecting the entire face which ignores the sketch of the rectangles.  Take a look at the Screencast.
