threaded holes not shown in .step file

Good afternoon!

I'm experiencing a strange behaviour while exporting a model that contains 20 threaded holes (M5x.8) from Fusion360 to a .step file for a CNC machine. Although all the holes show up at their correct places, none of them seems threaded.

The holes, including the threads, were created with the 'hole' function.

You can find the original Fusion360 file here and the exported step file here .

I've used the same workflow before and it used to work flawless. I don't have much experience with the software so I might be missing something obvious. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

You would need to enable modelled threads, normally you would not want modelled threads while designing. And personally I would not want the modelled thread in the STP file if I was making a part as it makes selection more difficult. Normally you'd supply a STP without threads and a 2d drawing with all the specs you require.

Or Enable \Disable the whole document.

Hi, @HughesTooling

Is there a ideal format/function for the 2D drawing in fusion? Or is this basically like overlaying your sketch with the details in PDF or a Word document?

Sorry, I'm just a hobbiest trying to make a part for my mountain bike. Appreciate your help!
