The time is near when I will need to replace my workstation - currently an Intel Xeon W3565 (8core) 3.2GHz CPU with 24GB DDR4 RAM. I only use Fusion as a desktop application (paid for licence) under Win10 Pro (64bit).
I shall be looking to buy a replacement while this one continues to earn its keep. Question is, what specification upgrades should I be looking for to provide a bit of future proofing and perhaps a bit of enhanced performance?

Hi,

Your need = CPU speed (not cores)

Thanks Günther, so that suggests that I won't do much better than I already have @ 3.2GHz?
