The path is tangent to the profile error when trying to sweep a path

I am trying to sweep a simple path to make a helical shape in F 360. I get an "The path is tangent to the profile error when trying to sweep a path" error. This drives me crazy. Any tips to what I am doing wrong?

hard to say without the design.  But, from the image, it looks like the path is in the same plane as the profile.  And yes, that will not work.  The path must not be co-planar with the profile.  What results are you expecting?
