Texture maps from SKP and FBX files display in viewports but not in renders

I have to vent my frustration with the fact that Fusion seems to completely support opening FBX or SketchUp files with the textures perfectly applied in the viewports but completely unsupported in renders. Even the UV mapping appears correctly.
If Fusion can read the textures can't it just create a basic material with the diffuse maps?
I know the render engine hasn't received any love and it's a shame and this just shows how Autodesk really doesn't care to invest any time in it. It's something that it's right there, so close.
