Texture map control grain direction with parameter.

I'd like to control grain direction with a parameter, but I'm not seeing a way to do this.


Is there a way to do this.


To change grain direction I have to edit the texture map. I also find that each time I invoke texture map controls, the values I previously entered (either direct entry or Parameter reference) no longer exist, instead all data fields have default values of zero.

Texture mapping is not a parametric operation, which is why it reads the value from your parameter but does not retain the parameter name/relationship. This is not possible yet in Fusion 360 and would require a lot of work to make texture mapping into an operation that computes with parameters, i.e. "parametric".
