Just finished the building a hinged box. I placed text on the upper lid (front face) extruded it out 1mm. The problem I have is when I resize the box, the text stay's the same. Any idea how to fix this. I have tried Combine, join etc etc. Cant get the text to resize with the box.
Thanks

Hi,

Hi.

Thanks for your reply. I have used Join, Combine and new body in my attempts to connect the text to the box. Nothing works. When i resize the box, the text stays in it's original position.

As you will see, when i rotate the lid the text moves with the lid. But when i change parameters, the text stays where it is.

what do you mean by "when i change parameters, the text stays where it is"?  What parameters?  The design looks fine to me, the text looks properly joined to the top of the box.  I can change BoxWidth, BoxHeight, and BoxLength, and it all stays together OK:

The only thing I see you are missing is sketch dimensions to keep the text centered on the top:

but, if you add a couple of construction lines and a point, you can easily add those dimensions:

As you see, when i change the box height from 70 to 35mm The text doesn't change with the box. I'm not sure how your getting it to work. I want to be able to change the box size and have everything including the text to update.

this is the problem addressed in the response above.  You have no mechanism in your sketch to keep that text centered on the box lid.  You will need to add sketch dimensions and some construction geometry to do that.  Screencast is below, and model is attached.  Look at Sketch2 in the attached model

Jeff your a super star. I've Been at this for days. I'm totally new to fusion and cad software and although I did try to constrain the text I obviously wasn't doing it right. Thank you.
